You might be a little confused by the device’s memory management system for new iPhone users. Usually, other phones have an option to clear cache but not on iPhone.

Cache or temporary data that contains a collection of user activity when accessing applications or websites is sometimes a scourge in itself. That data can accumulate and be stored in memory as the number of user activities on websites and applications.

Activities that can be cached include viewing the content in the form of photos or videos on applications and websites.

Actually, the presence of cache is quite useful for both the phone and the user in terms of accessing content on apps or websites. With the cache, the phone does not have to work hard to reload applications and websites in order to display the content contained in them. You will be able to access the content quickly.

Then, users also don’t have to wait long for the phone to display the content. On the other hand, temporary data that accumulates can take up space in the phone’s memory. As a result, the phone memory can suddenly be full because the user is sometimes not aware that he has made too much cache.

Usually, on some Android phones, there is a special option to clear cache, which you can access via device settings. Whereas the iPhone does not have a dedicated button or option to clear the cache.

So, how to clear the cache on iPhone?

Quotes from Apple’s official website, the iPhone operating system will delete cache or temporary data automatically. If the device really needs a lot of memory space. So, you don’t have to bother wiping the iPhone cache.

However, users can clear the iPhone cache manually. How to clear the iPhone cache is quite easy does not require the services of additional applications. For more details, see how to clear the cache on the following iPhone:

How to Clear iPhone Cache and History on Websites

  • Click the gear icon to access the “Settings” menu
  • Scroll down until you find the “Safari” browser option, then click on it
  • Then, locate and select the “Clear History and Website Data” option.

How to Clear iPhone Cache and History on Apps

  • Click the gear icon to access the “Settings” menu
  • Then, click the “General” or “General” option.
  • Scroll down and click on the “iPhone Storage” option
  • Choose apps that take up too much memory space
  • Next, click on the “Delete App” option.
  • All cache will be deleted by clicking on the option. Then you can download and reinstall the application that you deleted earlier.

Apart from the two methods above, you can also clear the iPhone cache by reloading the device. Reloading the device will only delete temporary data of a lighter nature, such as code or programming commands running on iPhone. Meanwhile, the cache containing user activity on applications and websites will still exist.

How to reload the device is different in each iPhone series

You can reload the device on the Face ID series iPhone by pressing the power and volume down buttons then selecting “slide-off.”

Once the iPhone is off, click and hold the power button until the Apple logo appears.

While on the iPhone Touch ID series, the way to reload it is to press the power button and then select “slide-off.”

Then, turn it back on by clicking and holding the power button until the Apple logo appears.

We use this method for the iPhone with the iOS 15.2 operating system version.

Different versions of the operating system, maybe the location of the options will also be different.

That’s how to clear the cache on iPhone; hopefully, it’s useful.
